Introduction
With Stranger Things finally coming to an end, I wanted to explore how far we can go using OSINT techniques to pinpoint a real-world location from nothing more than a set of photos.
This time, the subject is Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven (Jane). She posted a set of images that at first glance seem harmless and location-less. No geotag. No obvious landmarks.
So the question is simple:
Where exactly was this taken?
The Images
The images examined in this investigation come from a post on Millie Bobby Brown’s Instagram, published on 14 November 2025.

The post contains four images, taken from the same location.

Dissecting the Post
At first glance, the post gives us no direct indication of location. There is no tagged venue, no city mention, and no identifiable caption clues.
This means we have to rely entirely on visual analysis.
While reviewing the images recurring architectural and environmental features immediately stand out. These features will become the foundation of the investigation.
Feature 1: The Balcony
One of the most consistent elements across multiple images is the balcony structure.
Let’s break it down.
Observations
- Colour: The balcony exterior is painted a light beige tone.
- Balcony Location: The balcony is the 3rd balcony located from the right side of the building.
- Rail design:
- The guard rail is relatively short in height.
- The railing exhibits a distinctive inward curve at the center.
- This curvature is especially noticeable when viewing adjacent balconies, as seen in Image 2.
These characteristics are not random and can be highly indicative of a specific architectural style or region.
Visual Reference
At this stage, the balcony alone does not give us a definitive answer—but it provides a strong filtering point when cross-referencing hotels, apartments, or resorts later in the investigation.
Feature 2: Background Buildings
In several of the images, a cluster of background buildings and structural elements can be observed. While none of these structures appear to be famous landmarks, they still provide valuable contextual clues when analyzed together.
Background architecture is often overlooked, but repetition across multiple images suggests permanence rather than coincidence.
Building 1
This structure appears to be a multi-story residential or corporate office building.
Building 2
This building stands out due to its curved shape with a dome like structure on the top.
Building 3
The third structure lacks fine detail due to its distance; however, it is present across multiple images supports its use as a stable reference point during geolocation analysis.
Why These Buildings Matter
Individually, these buildings may not reveal much. However, when viewed collectively, they allow us to:
- Infer the area is likely residential or mixed-use
- Identify potential hotel or apartment clusters
- Cross-reference buildings against satellite and street-view data
Feature 3: Roads
The road layout visible in the images provides additional contextual clues about the location. Across multiple angles, a three-lane roadway can be identified.
In the first image, the third lane is particularly clear, as a vehicle is captured while making a turn. In the remaining images, the first two lanes appear congested, likely stopped at a red traffic signal, making the lane separation easier to observe.

Observations
In both images, the middle lane stands out due to its unusual design. It is a narrow roadway positioned between two grass patches. This configuration is not common and can be useful when narrowing down potential locations.
Finding the location
Having dissected the images and identified several distinctive features, we can now begin narrowing down potential locations. Since she is a celebrity, the possibilities are global, but these clues will help focus our search.
The images analyzed in this post were published on 14 November 2025. However, when examining earlier posts on the same Instagram account, additional context begins to emerge.
A post published on 7 November 2025 contains several selfie images and a short video that appear to have been taken at the same location.

Temporal Correlation
From this, it is reasonable to infer that Millie Bobby Brown was present at this location on 7 November 2025. Furthermore, in both the 7 November and 14 November posts, she is wearing the same outfit, and the lighting conditions appear nearly identical.
This suggests that the images posted on 14 November were likely taken during the same visit, potentially only minutes before or after the content shared on 7 November. While the posting dates differ, the visual consistency supports the conclusion that the photos originate from the same time window rather than separate occasions.
With a likely timeframe established, the next step is to determine what Millie Bobby Brown was doing on 7 November 2025 and whether her public appearances around that date provide any location-based context.
A simple search using her name and the date yields multiple relevant results.
A significant number of articles reference her attendance at the final season premiere of Stranger Things. This provides a strong lead worth validating.
Article Review
Reviewing these articles reveals consistent reporting across multiple sources.
The articles explicitly states that the season finale premiere took place in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Establishing the Geographic Context
Based on this information, we can reasonably conclude that:
- She was present in the United States
- Specifically in California
- More precisely, in Los Angeles
This does not yet confirm the exact location where the analyzed images were taken. However, it significantly narrows the search area and allows subsequent analysis such as architectural comparison, road layout matching, and satellite imagery review to focus exclusively on the Los Angeles region.
Reverse Searching
With the search area narrowed to Los Angeles, I moved on to reverse image searching, specifically focusing on the balcony rail guards.
Using the rail guards as the primary visual reference and filtering results related to Los Angeles, I reviewed numerous properties with similar balcony designs. After approximately 30 minutes of manual comparison, one image immediately stood out.
This image displays two key elements previously identified in the Instagram photos:
- The curved balcony rail design
- A U-shaped building layout with a dome-like structure at the center
The image originates from the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, California.
Google Earth 3D View
To further validate the identified location, Google Earth’s 3D view was used to analyze the building structure and its surrounding environment.
From the 3D model, multiple previously identified features can be observed in the immediate vicinity:
- A three-lane road layout consistent with earlier road analysis
- The U-shaped hotel structure with its distinctive central curvature
- A nearby corporate-style office building matching the background silhouettes seen in the original images
Pinpointing the Exact Balcony
When examining the hotel using street-level imagery, a recurring design pattern becomes clear. The building features three distinct types of balconies, each with visually unique characteristics.
These variations allow us to further narrow down the exact balcony type from which the images.
Balcony Types Identified
-
Domed balconies
These balconies feature a dome-shaped cover providing shade, with the balcony structure itself fully enclosed in concrete. -
Covered concrete balconies (no dome)
These balconies lack the dome-shaped cover but remain fully enclosed by concrete, offering limited visibility through the facade. -
Open guard-rail balconies
These balconies are distinguished by exposed guard rails, allowing a clear view outward with minimal structural obstruction. These balconies have a brown colour painted wall separating each other.
From our observations, every third balcony from the right on the building except those on the top two floors features the open-guard rail configuration.
Initially, I thought she was on the third balcony from the second floor from the top. However, upon reviewing the short video posted on November 7th, we can see for a few seconds that the balcony has a brown-painted wall, which contradicts that assumption.
This threw a significant curveball, as she could have been on any of these balconies. However, based on the angle and height from which the picture was taken, it is reasonable to conclude that this was the hotel room she was staying in.
Conclusion
Through careful analysis of architectural features, balcony types, road layouts, and temporal correlations with her Instagram posts, we were able to narrow down the exact location of Millie Bobby Brown’s photos. By cross-referencing visual clues with satellite imagery and 3D building models, it is highly likely that the images were taken from an open guard-rail balcony on the third room from the right at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
This investigation demonstrates the power of OSINT techniques in turning seemingly innocuous social media posts into precise geolocation intelligence.
Goofs
A funny detail I found while doing this report was that in the Images 1 & 3 in the 14th November post had the bottom of the balcony from the top floor removed using AI.
